PUNTA CANA – JetSMART Airlines, recognized as South America’s leading ultra-low-cost carrier, has announced the launch of new direct routes connecting Punta Cana with Medellín and Cali, Colombia. Service will begin on December 5, 2025, marking a major step in the airline’s international expansion strategy.
With promotional fares starting at just US$30 to Medellín and US$48 to Cali, JetSMART is also allowing travelers to redeem AAdvantage® miles for these flights. The carrier anticipates transporting more than 90,000 passengers on these routes within the first year of operation.
The new flights, operating three times per week to each Colombian city, are set to strengthen connectivity between the Caribbean and South America. Through JetSMART’s growing network, travelers can also access additional destinations such as Bogotá and Santiago de Chile.
