Kathmandu Park Punta Cana shuts down

Punta Cana.- One year after its grand opening, Katmandú Park Punta Cana will close its doors. A statement issued Thursday morning said that while the retail stores and restaurant will continue to operate, the theme park will close immediately.

The post, shared on the official website and social media channels, mentions that they are now considering the “future use of the property.”

Expressing its gratitude, the statement extends its thanks to all customers who have enjoyed the park over the past year. Interested parties are encouraged to contact reserva@katmanduparks.com for further details.

Katmandú Park Punta Cana, inaugurated in February 2023 in an event led by the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, had an investment of more than $60 million, as reported at the time. The theme park featured innovative attractions, offering visitors a unique experience in The Hidden Realms of Kathmandu, the company’s original and proprietary franchise.
