VERÓN–PUNTA CANA, Dominican Republic – The mayor of Verón–Punta Cana, Ramón Antonio Ramírez, known as “Manolito”, held a cordial Christmas breakfast meeting with representatives from various media outlets that cover the district on a daily basis.
The gathering brought together journalists and media professionals who consistently report on the social, economic and political developments of the area, creating a relaxed yet meaningful space for dialogue between the municipal administration and the local press. Throughout the meeting, the mayor shared his views on the importance of responsible journalism and emphasized the key role that the media play in informing and shaping an active, well-informed community.
Held on Saturday, December 20, at El Broker restaurant, the breakfast also served as an opportunity to recognize the work of reporters and communicators, who provide continuous coverage of the municipality’s reality. In addition, the encounter helped to strengthen communication channels between the city council and the media, with the aim of promoting greater transparency, timely information and closer collaboration in favor of the residents of Verón–Punta Cana.
