The Dominican Digital Media Observatory successfully held this Tuesday the sixth delivery of the National Digital Journalism Award ceremony.

The event was held in the Aída Bonnelly room of the National Theater with the attendance of hundreds of communicators, journalists and digital media owners from all over the country, who gathered to praise the best of Dominican digital journalism.

This year, in addition to the 22 categories included in the awards, a special recognition was given to the journalist and businesswoman Cosette Bonnelly, for her contributions to digital journalism. While the Grand National Prize for Digital Journalism, the highest award of this initiative, was awarded to veteran journalist José Rafael Sosa, a reference for ethical and responsible journalism.

The statuettes in this delivery were made by the prestigious company Grabo Estilo, with a modern design chosen by its owner, Mrs. Sulin Lantigua.

The realization of the award was possible thanks to the support of Banco Popular, the Punta Cana-Macao Energy Consortium, Aeroméxico, Aden Business School, the Dominican Institute of Art and Design (IDAD), Carrefour, Aeroméxico, the Special Projects Directorate of the Presidency, Yo Smart and the Cristal Acevedo Communication Consulting company.
