The Association of Incoming Tour Operators of the Dominican Republic (ASOTURE) elected César González as its new president for the period 2023-2025, who showed his vision on the importance of continuing to strengthen the entity and working actively as the main economic activity in the country.
The Swearing-in of the new Board of Directors was attended by all its members, incoming tour operators with their offices in Bávaro Punta Cana.
César González explained in his speech that this new Board of Directors will work on 3 pillars based on greater long-term sustainability of tourism, strengthening regulations and greater air connectivity to continue increasing the number of tourists who visit the country.
He expressed that they will maintain a public-private agenda, supporting MITUR with the use of the QR code, a tool that Minister David Collado began to implement in his administration and that for now only the guides are using it; which will help tourism inspectors with only a cell phone in hand to verify that it is a company in order, contributing to the modernization and strengthening of the security that the entire value chain of the tourism industry receives.
“We are a non-profit Association incorporated in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 122-05, established under Dominican laws made up of more than 34 incoming and associated tour operator companies, created in 2007 with a market share tourist.”
With the aim of promoting the country, we participate in both national and international fairs, such as. Fitur – Anato-I ITB, Germany, Top Resa, WTM Latin America-London.
