A few days ago the nominees for the awards were announced “Awards for the best readers’ choice 2024” in which companies and destinations from the Dominican Republic obtained nominations in five categories.
Nominees for all categories are chosen by a panel of relevant experts that includes a combination of editors from USA TODAY; editors of 10Best.com; relevant expert collaborators; and sources from both these media and other Gannett properties.

- Best Beach in the Caribbean: Juanillo Beach, Punta Cana.
- Best All-Inclusive Caribbean Resort: Barceló Bávaro Palace and Lopesan Costa Bávaro, Punta Cana.
- Best Caribbean Rum: Ron Brugal and Ron Barceló.
- Best Resort in Caribbean: Casa de Campo Resort & Villas, La Romana and Eden Roc Cap Cana.
- Best Golf Course in the Caribbean: Corals at Puntacana Resort and Teeth of the Dog.
Although the contest 10Award for the best readers’ choice Is available in 10Best.coman independent travel media site, is promoted on digital and mobile products of USA TODAY Travel Media Groupas well as through social networks. Nominees are also advertised and/or promoted in the relevant departments of USA TODAY and through Gannett media.

Rules of 10Award for Best Readers’ Choice
Since June 24, 2014, 10Best.com publishes a list of up to 20 businesses per category (such as restaurants, hotels/resorts, vacation spots, new media bloggers/journalists) on www.10best.com/awards/ by public voting to determine the choice of the top 10. A new list of twenty (20) companies in certain designated categories will be published on its website every two weeks.
Beginning on the publication date of each list, readers can vote for their favorite nominated company. Voting will continue for 28 days from the initial publication date for each new company listing.
At the end of the 28-day voting period, the nominated companies that received the most eligible votes will be designated Readers’ Choice for their respective categories and will receive a Top 10 Readers’ Choice badge of recognition.
Votes can be submitted by people who are at least 18 years old, by visiting www.10best.com/awards/. Each 28-day voting period will begin at 12:00 pm Eastern Time and end at 11:59 am Eastern Time. Limit of one (1) vote per person, per category, per day.
