The World Organization of Tourism Journalism held in Chiriquí, Panama, the seventh edition of the International Open Passport Award that rewards the most outstanding communications specialized in tourism and tourism in general.
In the ‘Originality’ category, the Dominican communicator and Marketing Director of Adompretur, Juan de Dios Valentín, was the winner for his report “Solidarity Cooking: the action that has saved millions of people in the world from famine”, published in his portal www.foodieandtraveler.com.
Also, from the Dominican Republic in the ‘Event of the Year’ category, it won the Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange (DATE 2023) tourism marketing fair, organized by Asonahores. In the ‘Responsible Tourist Destination’ category, Cap Cana Ciudad Destination won the trophy; and the Punta Cana – Macao Energy Consortium, SA (CEPM), received the distinction in the ‘Teamwork’ category.
Yenny Polanco Lovera, president of Adompretur, congratulated all the Dominican journalists specialized in tourism who won this edition of the Open Passport award for the creativity and ethics with which they carry out their reports and investigations.
