Operations Officially Begin at El Dorado Park with Abinader’s Inauguration

The El Agua theme park Golden Park was officially inaugurated by President Luis Abinader. This first-ever water theme park in the Dominican Republic is the brainchild of architect Andrés Piñeiro.

Golden Parkis situated in the Destination City of Cape Cana,a high-end resort located in Punta Cana, La Altagracia province.

The event that marked the park’s inauguration was presided over by the President and was attended by Tourism Minister David Collado, Dorado Park’s president Carlos Cobiella, board member José Yude Michelen from the Altio Safi Investment Fund Manager, Cap Cana board executive Fernando Hazoury, in addition to other personalities from the Dominican Republic’s private and government sectors.

The project was brought to life with the help of major companies internationally recognized in the entertainment industry, including Proslide Technologies.

Maintaining the highest quality, it boasts over 16 attractions and an infrastructure built for receiving thousands of visitors, which paired with its spectacular amphitheater, reflects innovation and sustainability in the region.

At the opening event, Carlos Cobiella, the park’s President, expressed gratitude for the support received from various sectors and talked about the challenges and experiences encountered during the construction.

Special thanks were extended to Pure Altio, his partner firm that believed in his vision from day one and provided unwavering support during the park’s pre-development, building, and operational phases. He went on to mention his gratitude to Banco de Reservas and Banco Banesco for being pivotal financial allies in the project, and to his family for their unrelenting involvement and support.

Contribution from El Dorado Park

“El Dorado Park seeks to be a benchmark in Dominican Republic tourism by diversifying the existing tourist framework and offering new job opportunities. At present, El Dorado Park creates over 350 direct jobs and 500 indirect jobs,” articulated Cobiella.

“Choosing Cap Cana as the project’s location was a resounding success, not only because of its prime location and world-class infrastructure but also due to constant support received from its board of directors and the entire management team,” he appended.

According to Cobiella, Cap Cana is undoubtedly one of the Caribbean’s most exclusive destinations owing to its beaches, hotels, real estate developments, and now, aspires to become a leading park and entertainment destination.

Fernando Hazoury,Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cape Cana, also praised the ingenuity and determination of the Dorado Park team and commended their efforts to initiate a project of such magnitude for the nation’s tourism sector.

The prestige of Cap Cana

Cape Cana stands firm in its commitment to warmly welcome and facilitate all investors, be it in real estate or hotel projects, or supplementary offers like the one we are inaugurating today,” he said.

“We, at Cap Cana, will never hesitate to extend our support to such initiatives. We constantly strive towards institutionality and to nurture and protect the investments, assets, and jobs of everybody residing in the city. Thanks to President Abinader’s excellent work alongside businessmen and investors at local and worldwide levels, tourism as an industry is a safe bet,” Hazoury asserted.

The event was graced with the attendance of business allies, government dignitaries, bankers, friends, associates and the local media.
