RCD Hotels, through its property Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana, confirms in the Dominican Republic its commitment to the international protection network against the Sexual Exploitation of Girls, Boys and Adolescents in Travel and Tourism, by signing the agreement-commitment The Code with the ECPAT organization (End Prostitution, Pornography and Trafficking of Children and Adolescents for Sexual Purposes), a global network of organizations and individuals that promote prevention and awareness of the commercial sexual exploitation of girls, children and adolescents.
By signing the agreement, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana continues with the actions that RCD Hotels has promoted for four years to implement the code of conduct for the protection of girls, boys and adolescents against Commercial Sexual Exploitation in the Industry of Travel and Tourism, upon receiving the international certification The Code in the Dominican Republic that accredits it as a socially responsible company with human rights.
RCD Hotels has had a proactive participation since 2019 in the prevention system against sexual tourism of minors, whose agreement includes regular training, development of protocols, inclusion of clauses in contracts with suppliers and dissemination materials to raise awareness among guests. about this problem.
The signing of the agreement was attended by Leidy M. Rivera, THE CODE Representative, Luis Méndez, MAIS-ECPAT Project Coordinator, as well as Adelfa Féliz, Eastern Regional Manager of the National Institute of Comprehensive Early Childhood Care (INAIPI) and Zuleica Diloné, member of the National Steering Committee to Fight Child Labor of the Ministry of Labor.
