PGA TOUR Awards Nominates Corales Puntacana Championship in Two Categories

In the 2023-2024 PGA TOUR Tournament Awards, the Corales Puntacana Championship tournament received nominations in the “Best Marketing Initiative” and “Best Element of its Class.” This event is an acknowledgment of groundbreaking concepts that show the significant effect PGA TOUR tournaments have on their communities.

The Corales Puntacana Championship, offering 300 FedExCup points, will feature live broadcasts on the Golf Channel as it does every year. The tournament garners around 7.8 billion impressions across digital and print platforms nationally and internationally in 153 countries. It reaches 7 million viewers in the US and 4 million in Europe.

“PGA TOUR Tournament Awards” is a campaign that acknowledges the exceptional efforts of tournaments included in the schedule. This acknowledgment reflects our commitment to offering an unparalleled experience and innovative marketing tactics. We appreciate our fantastic team and those who support us in enhancing the game and the tournament experience,” said Manuel Sajour, the executive director of Grupo Puntacana and director of the Corales Puntacana Championship.

Manuel Sajour added, “We are delighted to receive two nominations this year. “Corales Puntacana Championship is a flagship event that allows the Dominican Republic to showcase itself on a global stage through golf tourism.”

RBC Heritage, The Memorial Tournament Presented by Workday, Valero Texas Open, BMW Championship, and RBC Canadian Open were also among the nominees for the “Best Marketing Initiative.”

The “Best in Class Element” category aims to emphasize a service, event, location, campaign, program, activity, operational procedure, or any value addition that qualifies as a “Best in Class.” Other tournaments should consider integrating such elements into their events.

Recently, the PGA TOUR and Puntacana Resort disclosed the dates for the Corales Puntacana Championship. The tournament will take place from April 14-20, 2025, at the Corales golf course.
