Plane failure leaves Polish tourists stranded in Punta Cana, hoping for a Miami rescue.

Poland’s portal Contact 24, reported this morning that Tuesday’s flight from Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic to Warsaw it was canceled. The tourists were taken to hotels. A decision will be made today on when they will return to the country.

Contact 24, contacted the press office of PLL LOT on the matter. A technical failure occurred on the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner plane flying from Punta Cana to Warsaw.

Currently the spare part is being transported from Miami to the Dominican Republic.

The passengers were taken to the hotel, where they will stay until the plane is repaired, said Krzysztof Moczulski, a spokesman for LOT Polish Airlines.
