Pueblito Caribeño unveils “Selva Doméstica,” a collective exhibition of 24 works inspired by Caribbean nature, free entry with workshops and community support.
A Celebration of Art and Nature in Punta Cana
Punta Cana, Dominican Republic — The Pueblito Caribeño Art District has unveiled a new cultural showcase, “Selva Doméstica” (Domestic Jungle), a collective exhibition inspired by the richness and vitality of Caribbean nature. Supported by LiziArts, the exhibition unites 24 works by Dominican and international artists, including Ángel Urrely, Patricia Tolentino, Frantz Zephirin, José Morillo, and Inés Tolentino, on display at the Pueblito Caribeño Cultural Center.
Exploring the Human-Nature Connection
Curated by Clara Engelmann with exhibition design by Shadia López, “Selva Doméstica” takes visitors on a sensorial journey of imagined jungles, intimate gardens, and emotional ecosystems. The show reflects on the human relationship with the environment, balancing the tension between the domestication of nature and its untamed, wild essence.
Social Impact Beyond the Gallery
Aligned with its commitment to social responsibility, the initiative will donate 15% of proceeds to the Paseo del Sendero Foundation, contributing to community development and environmental awareness.
Building on Cultural Success
This marks the second group exhibition presented by LiziArts at Pueblito Caribeño. Its previous showcase attracted over 800 visitors in just two months, establishing the venue as a growing cultural hub in Punta Cana.
“Selva Doméstica” now seeks to expand that success by drawing interest not only from local residents, but also national and international tourists who make Punta Cana one of the Dominican Republic’s most vibrant cultural destinations.
Free Entry and Parallel Activities
Admission to the exhibition is free with prior reservation, making it accessible to all. The program also includes side activities such as:
- Artist meet-and-greets
- Creative workshops for adults
- Interactive art activities for children
This community-driven agenda reinforces the district’s mission to merge tourism, education, and artistic expression.
