The Punta Cana International Airport (AIPC) marks a significant milestone in its commitment to sustainability, as it has achieved the successful implementation of the ISO 14064-1:2018 standard, which has allowed a detailed inventory of gas emissions to be carried out. In addition, AIPC has obtained the ACI Airports Carbon Accreditation (ACA) Level 2 Carbon Footprint Accreditation, thus highlighting the specific emissions reduction efforts it has made. This ACI program recognizes and supports airports’ commitments in the fight against climate change.
This achievement not only positively impacts the airport’s environmental management, but also highlights the measures implemented to reduce emissions and underlines its efforts to be an energy efficient airport, aligning our operations with a comprehensive sustainability strategy.
