Punta Cana International Airport Wins Prestigious Airport Service Quality Award

Punta Cana.- For the eighth consecutive year, Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) has been honored with the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) award from the Airports Council International (ACI). Recognized as the “Best Airport by Size and Region” in the category of 5 to 15 million passengers per year in the Caribbean and Latin America, PUJ ranks among the best airports in the world, judged by travelers’ experiences.

Frank Elías Rainieri, President and CEO of Grupo Punta Cana, expressed his pride in receiving this award, attributing it to the dedication and commitment of the entire airport community. “Every day we strive to provide our visitors with a safe and enjoyable travel experience. This achievement is a testament to the collective effort of everyone involved to make our airport a symbol of excellence.”

“The passenger is at the center of everything we do and that is reflected in the ASQ awards,” Rainieri added.

Luis Felipe de Oliveira, General Director of ACI World, congratulated the entire PUJ team saying: “Congratulations! Your passengers have spoken up and recognized your team’s successful efforts to provide a great customer experience.”

This prestigious award recognizes the quality and excellence of airports worldwide that offer exceptional experiences to travelers, with Punta Cana International Airport being the first in the Dominican Republic to achieve and maintain this recognition for eight consecutive years.

The ASQ Awards represent the highest honor for airport operators, distinguishing the world’s best airports for excellence in management and traveler service, as determined by the Traveler Satisfaction Survey conducted by ACI.
