Punta Cana, Dominican Republic – In a decisive move to bolster security and improve working conditions at the country’s leading tourist gateway, Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) has inaugurated a state-of-the-art headquarters for the Specialized Corps in Airport and Civil Aviation Security (CESAC).
The modern facility, built to meet the highest operational standards, will serve as the official base for CESAC personnel, significantly enhancing the work environment for agents tasked with safeguarding passengers, aircraft, and airport infrastructure on a daily basis.
The handover ceremony was led by Alberto Smith, Director of Ground Operations at the airport, and Patricia Nova, Terminal Manager. Representing CESAC, the facility was received by Colonel Pilot Wilfredo Candelario Aponte, FARD, on behalf of CESAC’s Director General, Brigadier General Pilot Enmanuel Souffront Tamayo, FARD, accompanied by senior officials from the agency.
Beyond increasing surveillance and operational capacity at the Caribbean’s busiest airport, the new headquarters underscores Grupo Puntacana’s commitment to excellence in airport security and to the welfare of the professionals who make it possible.
