Bávaro, Punta Cana – The Sistema Punta Cana music program celebrated its fourth anniversary this Saturday with a special open-air concert at Bávaro Innovation School, offering a cultural experience designed for the enjoyment of the entire family.
More than 300 children and young people took to the stage, presenting the results of months of work in the different choral and orchestral programs that make up this social and artistic initiative. Through musical training, Sistema Punta Cana seeks to promote community development, discipline, and teamwork among children and adolescents in the Punta Cana–Bávaro area.
The anniversary event also featured an international highlight: the participation of the “Caribbean Brass Ensemble,” a group of teachers who traveled from Spain exclusively for the celebration, with the support of Fundación Red Air. Throughout the week leading up to the concert, these visiting musicians held intensive workshops and rehearsals with the students, helping them refine their technical skills, musical interpretation, and stage performance.
The result was a vibrant, emotion-filled concert that showcased not only the artistic growth of the young performers, but also the impact of music education as a powerful tool for social transformation in Punta Cana.
