The 2024 Annual Meetings of the Assemblies of Governors of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and IDB Invest are scheduled to take place in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, from March 6 to 10, 2024.
The Assemblies of Governors are the highest authority in charge of the governance of the IDB and IDB Invest. Governors are mainly finance ministers, economic ministers or presidents of central banks of their respective countries.
Economic and financial leaders from the 48 IDB member countries will meet to discuss challenges and opportunities facing Latin America and the Caribbean in terms of development. They will address the new Institutional Strategy of the IDB Group, the proposed capital increase of IDB Invest, and new financing for IDB Lab.
The event will also include a meeting with civil society representatives from the IDB Group member countries and thematic seminars on key development issues.
These Annual Meetings are held in a different member country each year and were last held in the Dominican Republic in 1992. Online registration will be available from December 2023.
