Puntacana Group to Build Terminal in Guyana as Part of Expansion Plan

The Puntacana Group has taken steps outside its comfort zone in Punta Cana: it has joined forces with another corporation to build an air terminal outside the Dominican Republic.

This is an alliance with Cheddi Jagan International Airport to build an air terminal in Guyana, one of the fastest growing countries in the world, due to oil riches.

The information was announced by the Puntacana Group on its social networks: “With the signing of this agreement we will be, jointly, ensuring the construction, operation and administration of said terminal, in search of providing support to the improvement of tourism in Guyana. ”.

In August 2023, when the president of Guyana, Mohamed Irfaan Alicame to the Dominican Republic, took the opportunity to visit the Puntacana International Airport, where he met with the executives of the Puntacana Group.

A statement indicates that the Government of Guyana seeks to strengthen the operations of the terminal to improve air mobility and the promotion of tourism. The country located in South America is experiencing a boom in visitors attracted by oil and tourism.
