Punta Cana.- Under the motto “A party for the palate,” Puntacana Resort will host the inaugural Culinary Weekend from March 7 to 10, presenting the culinary expertise of five acclaimed Latin American chefs in an exclusive gastronomic encounter.
Internationally renowned chefs Mitsuhara Tsuruma, Marsia Taha, Benjamin Nast, Álvaro Clavijo and Janaina Torres will curate a selection of exquisite dishes, promising an unforgettable dining experience for attendees.
The food festivities begin on Thursday, March 7, with a cocktail party featuring the weekend’s chefs. The appetizers will be presented by Bolivian chef Marsia Taha, awarded as the New Female Chef of Latin America in 2021, and Chilean chef Benjamín Nast, recognized in the 50 Best Restaurants in Latin America.
On Friday, March 8, the culinary journey continues with chef Mitsuhara Tsuruma, an expert in Nikkei gastronomy, fusing Japanese and Peruvian influences. Tsuruma, owner of the renowned Peruvian restaurant MAIDO, ranks first in the SUMMUM Guide as the best restaurant in Peru, occupying positions 3 and 11 on the lists of the 50 best restaurants in Latin America and the 50 best restaurants in the world, respectively.
On Saturday, March 9, the talent of chef Janaina Rueda, ranked number 4 of the “50 best” restaurants in Latin America, will be showcased, along with the culinary prowess of Marsia Taha.
The culinary weekend concludes on Sunday, March 10, with the creative cuisine of chef Álvaro Clavijo, who is ranked number 2 in the “50 best” restaurants in Latin America, with the return of Benjamin Nast.
