Punta Cana.- The number of people injured in the accident on Monday afternoon on the Eastern road, near Macao's crossing in Punta Cana, has increased to 15. Victims were traveling in a tourist safari vehicle when it was beaten by a truck.
Among the injured are tourists from Colombia, the United States, Argentina and Chile, including two minors. Specifically, nine of the injured are Chilean, three are Argentines, two are Colombians and one is American. Most sustained mild head traumas, but no serious injuries have been reported.
The injured were transported to the Punta Cana Medical Center and the Municipal Hospital of Verón to receive treatment. The authorities continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
