El presidente de la República, Luis Abinaderconsideró que cada vez “se nos hace más difícil ir superando los récords del año anterior, ahora tenemos que ponernos para 12 millones de visitantes y lo podemos hacer porque vamos a seguir trabajando juntos”.

Citó que Cabo Rojoen Pedernales, iniciará a operar el primer hotel, mientras que en 2026 seguirán con dos nuevos hoteles. Este proyecto se enmarca en el desarrollo de alianza público-privada, con una inversión US$ 2,245 millones en primera fase.

En el caso de Punta Bergantínen Puerto Platase plantea un desarrollo turístico inmobiliario, con un estudio de cine y el financiamiento del Banco de Reservas.

“El Gobierno está apoyando con el sector privado el proyecto de Punta Bergantín y será el relanzamiento de la costa norte de República Dominicana, con la construcción de varios proyectos de marcas internacionales”, señaló.

La primera etapa del proyecto contempla la construcción de 700 habitaciones hoteleras.

Además, Abinader agregó que la expansión de Punta Cana hasta panesen El Seibo, con cinco nuevos hoteles “es sumamente considerable para cualquier economía”, con una inversión pública y privada de US$ 735 millones.

Con los diferentes proyectos privados que se ejecutan, Miches tendrá más de 3,700 habitaciones hoteleras y casi 2,000 habitaciones residenciales, entre los proyectos en operaciones y en vía de construcción.
