Santo Domingo.- VINCI airports reported that it reached new records in terms of traffic
of passengers in the six Dominican airports under its responsibility. In 2024, the
Aerodom airports recorded a total traffic of 6,846,000 passengers, marking a
4% growth compared to 2023.
Of this total, the Las Américas International Airport, José Francisco Peña Gómez
(AILA) leads the number of passengers with 5,810,000, a new record for this terminal.
Likewise, the Gregorio Luperón International Airport in Puerto Plata had a growth of 19% compared to 2023, surpassing a new pre-pandemic record with more than 880,000 passengers.
As part of VINCI Airports' commitment to improve the level of services, in 2024
AERODOM launched important projects in all its airports, highlighting
an investment of more than US$30 million in AILA that allowed the launch of the
remodeling of the public Departures and Arrivals area, a renovation of the ceilings, facades, lighting, information systems and air conditioning; as well as expansions and renovations of the vehicle parking, among others, so that this important terminal reflects a more modern and functional appearance.
In environmental terms, the company reported that it obtained the Green Airport Award given
by ACI-LAC in recognition of the good practices carried out by the company, maintained its ACA level 3 certification of the Carbon Footprint Accreditation Program thanks to the
investment and development of projects to reduce your carbon footprint; as well as the
recertification of its environmental management system under the ISO 14001 standard.
AERODOM attributed these positive results to the joint effort of the authorities,
airlines and commercial partners, who have played a fundamental role in this success.

In 2025, AERODOM will begin construction of the new AILA passenger terminal that
It will accommodate the continued growth in passenger traffic that the Dominican Republic has experienced. This new terminal will begin with an investment of 250 million dollars and will have a capacity of 4 million passengers per year.
