Arajet airline reported that it expects to end 2024 transporting approximately 1.2 million passengers to consolidate its exponential growth from Canada to the Southern Cone with the new routes that will be operating from Punta Cana International Airport.

Arajet made the announcement when announcing the celebration of its second anniversary on September 15.

The airline reported that it transported more than 120,000 passengers in August, surpassing the 100-passenger mark for the third consecutive month, and continues to lead the movement of registered passengers among local airlines, managing to maintain a milestone in the country's commercial aviation.

These figures were derived from the monthly report of the Civil Aviation Board (JAC), which highlights that Arajet is the Dominican airline that had the highest passenger flow from the different airports in the country.

They pointed out that during the month of August, Arajet transported a total of 87,932 passengers who visited or departed from the Dominican Republic. In addition, they highlighted that this figure is joined by more than 33,000 passengers who made a connection to their final destination from Las Américas International Airport, thus reaching a total of more than 120 thousand.

Arajet has established itself as the choice for tourism and business trips in the Dominican Republic and the continent, aiming to turn the country into the new air hub for connections on the continent. JAC also indicated that the flag carrier leads Dominican airlines between Sky High and Air Century, which transported 15,619 and 5,366 passengers respectively.

Victor Pacheco Méndez, CEO & Founder of Arajet, congratulated all employees on their second anniversary and expressed that these figures, which are breaking records month after month in commercial aviation in the Dominican Republic, are the incentive to continue building together the new era of local aviation.

“Together we are democratising the skies of the continent so that more people can fly, and in these two years we have achieved countless milestones that should encourage us to continue making history,” said Pacheco.
