Santo Domingo.- Banco Ademi received the prestigious Award for Institutional Management of Financial Inclusion, awarded by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI)through its Social Support Foundation and in collaboration with Solidarios, Council of American Development Foundations. This recognition is part of the BCIE-Solidarios Microenterprise Awards program, which seeks to highlight the best practices in strengthening financial inclusion in the region.

Banco Ademi, the only multiple bank specialized in microfinance in the Dominican Republic, was recognized for its commitment and excellence in promoting access to formal credit for Dominicans from the least favored sectors, contributing significantly to the economic and social development of the country.

Upon receiving this recognition, Andrés Bordas, executive president of Banco Ademi, stated that “Financial inclusion is not just a goal for us; It is part of our DNA, it has been and will continue to be our reason for existing as a banking entity. With every loan we grant and every account we open we help our clients advance in their own stories of improvement, getting closer and closer to realizing their dreams of building a better future for themselves and their families.«.

During his speech, Bordas stated that Banco Ademi has more than 300,000 clients, of which 148,000 have active loans, with an average disbursement amount of less than RD$85,000. This figure includes more than 25 thousand clients that the financial institution has managed to bank in the last 12 months, giving them access to financing with an average amount per loan of RD$40,000. Likewise, he highlighted that the entity is committed to non-discrimination and gender equality, with 49% of its clients being women.

Likewise, in 2024 as part of its strategic management, the Bank continued to strengthen financing programs for housing improvements, for the adoption of renewable energy, for education and to contribute to resilience against climate change.
