En su reciente visita a Méxicoel ministro de Turismo de RD, David Colladoaseguró que buscará darles seguimiento a los planos de crear un multidestino con países de la región, por lo cual buscará tratar el tema con el nuevo gobierno mexicano.

david collado“Es un tema que se había trabajado con el anterior secretario de Turismo (Miguel Torruco), se trata de un acuerdo entre México, la República Dominicana y otros países de Latinoamérica para promover el turismo multidestino, similar a lo que se hace en Europa. Esto podría incluir la creación de un fondo conjunto para la promoción”, dijo.

“Para fomentar el multidestino, es necesario replicar lo que sucede con los latinos y los que vivimos en el Caribe, que, si vamos a Europa, cuando visitamos Madrid también vamos a Italia, o sea, que no se hace una sola parada y esa tiene que ser la estrategia en RD con México y otros países, para que el turismo siga creciendo”, explicó.

Esto es promover los viajes combinados, y aunque no se ha tenido un acercamiento con la nueva secretaria de Turismo, Josefina Rodríguez“vamos a tratar de establecer comunicación para retomar el tema”, aseguró Collado al finalizar su presentación durante el Roadshow Turístico en la Ciudad de México.

Para ello, dijo, se ha establecido un hub en la República Dominicana que no sólo facilita el tráfico de dominicanos hacia México, sino que también conecta pasajeros de otros países, como Canadá, Argentina y Brasilaumentando así el tráfico aéreo entre las naciones.

El ministro dominicano aseguró que un viaje multidestino se presenta como una oportunidad dado que “se han agregado 12 frecuencias adicionales a las rutas existentes entre México y la República Dominicana, lo que permite vuelos diarios. Esto incluye conexiones desde Ciudad de México y Cancún hacia Santo Domingo y Punta Cana”.

Se recuerda que los turistas españoles han dejado de visitar los destinos de Quintana Roopor lo que Jesús Almaguer Salazarpresidente de la Asociación de Hoteles de Cancún, Puerto Morelos e Isla Mujeres (AHCPISMO), señaló que aprovecharán la Feria Internacional de Turismo (Característica) en Madrid a principios de 2025 para recuperar este mercado. Al parecer, la disminución de estos turistas tiene que ver con la mayor promoción y precios bajos de destinos como RD y Cuba.
