friuse. Residents of Friusa have expressed their frustration due to the failure to keep promises regarding the paving of their streets, which still remain in poor condition after a patchwork that has only worsened the deterioration.

The community has indicated that, despite the promises of the authorities, the paving of España Avenue and other essential roads in the area has not been carried out.

The regional director of the Eastern zone of the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC), Villijant Tavarez Cedeño, explained that recent rains have delayed the paving of España Avenue, but assured that the work is expected to begin at the beginning of this year.

In addition, he mentioned that the paving and resurfacing of the Cabeza de Toro highway, which is in poor condition, is contemplated, as well as the conditioning of the road that connects Verón with Punta Cana.

Tavarez Cedeño also highlighted that, in the case of neighborhoods, the process is slower, since they must be surveyed, including the construction of sidewalks and curbs, before proceeding with the asphalting. This work is scheduled for 2025, as part of plans to improve infrastructure in the region.

Although community members hope that these promises will materialize soon, they continue to demand a more agile response to solve the infrastructure problems that affect their quality of life.
