Madrid, Spain.– The Reserve Bank of the Dominican Republic celebrated the cocktail “The reservations of my land”, aimed at investors and authorities of the hotel sector, within the framework of the 45th edition of the International Tourism Fair (Fitur).
The Executive President of Banreservas, Samuel Pereyra, when heading to the public, highlighted the entity's financial data at the end of 2024, their businesses in the tourism sector and its social commitment, through the Directorate of Sustainability and Social Responsibility and Volunteering Banreservas.
“This team, in the last four years, has provided valuable support to the most vulnerable sectors, with a special approach to Dominican children, female empowerment and education. These initiatives are complemented with concrete actions aimed at promoting culture, sports and entertainment, ”he said.
In the field of business, Pereyra said that the financial institution has promoted tourism through investments that have encouraged innovation and growth of destinations such as miches, flint, Montecristi, La Romana, Punta Cana, Santo Domingo and Punta Bergantín, in addition to The creation of hotel infrastructure and cruise ports.
“In that regard, we have had the collaboration and constant support of our representation office in Madrid, for information and procedures for financing applications,” said the official.

The cocktail
This 45 edition was an opportunity to show the culture, art, gastronomy and Dominican customs in a direct and novel way, in the cocktail held at the Zarzuela Racecourse, with a scenario that allowed the panoramic visualization of the folklore of Quisqueya .
The night was enlivened by Dominican musical and solo groups residing in Spain, as an example of the close relationship between the two countries, related in their historical and cultural evolution.
