Grupo Puntacana, Mac Hotels and Marriott International announced the upcoming opening of reservations for the W Punta Cana hotel, part of Marriott Bonvoy's extraordinary portfolio of more than 30 brands. With 340 rooms, of which 11 will be spectacular villas, it will open its doors as the first W Hotels property in the Dominican Republic and the brand's first All-Inclusive hotel in the world.
Located in Uvero Alto, the W Punta Cana will feature a bold, modern design, for adults only, including rooms with balconies, private pools and swim-ups, as well as a magnificent 2,000 m2 spa with 10 treatment rooms, 6 themed restaurants , 1 rooftop with impressive views of the sea, mountains and cocoa fields; commercial area, two swimming pools with bars included and a total of 13 bar and restaurant options with a sophisticated culinary and mixology experience for its guests.
The announcement was made during the development of the forty-fifth International Tourism Fair (FITUR 2025), in Madrid, Spain, by Grupo Puntacana executives Frank Elías Rainieri, President and CEO; Frank Rainieri, Founder; Haydée Rainieri, Member of the Board of Directors; Paola Rainieri, Chief Marketing Officer, and Francesca Rainieri, Chief Financial Officer. Present for Mac Hotels were its executives Miguel Amengual, Commercial Director, and Aina Amengual, Director of Operations; Present on behalf of Marriott International was Paula Cerrillo, Senior Director, Development, Marriott International Caribbean and Latin America, as well as the Dominican Minister of Tourism, David Collado.
With the W Punta Cana in Uvero Alto – said Frank Elías Rainieri – “we reaffirm our strong commitment to continue promoting the country's tourism development, betting on the tourism industry, opening new markets, increasing the hotel offer and generating 650 new jobs for Dominicans contributing to improving the country's economy.”
