Punta Cana; A group of young people aspiring to study immersion English, with scholarships from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Mescyt), report that upon arriving at their first day of classes at the Universidad Central del Este (UCE) Punta Cana, they are reported that there are no classrooms available for the night shift, failing to fulfill what they had been promised.
According to the students, the center gave them a blank sheet of paper to sign as a record of attendance and offered them the option to withdraw from the course. However, the young people assure that they are not willing to give up, since this would prevent them from opting for the scholarship again, according to Mescyt regulations.
The students urgently call on Mescyt to intervene and manage their relocation to another educational center that has the necessary conditions to guarantee the development of the program. They emphasize that they do not want to lose this learning opportunity, which they consider key to their academic and professional growth.
