Veron. On the first day of the second school year 2024-2025, the Manuel Guerrero Educational Center located in the Verón-Punta Cana district, reported an attendance of 40% of its enrollment, made up of 41 sections.

The director of the center, Andy Bourdon, congratulated the families for responding to the call for classes after the Three Kings holiday.

“To the entire family of the Manuel de Jesús Guerrero educational community, I send congratulations for attending this call a day after the Three Kings holiday,” said Bourdon, who also estimated that for this Wednesday, January 8, attendance could increase to 60%. .

The educational center has experienced notable growth in its enrollment, which went from 700 to almost 1,400 students. “When we arrived here we had an enrollment of about 700 children and we already have double enrollment, we are going for almost 1,400 children,” highlighted the director.

The high demand for places motivated the Ministry of Education to approve the construction of new classrooms in the back of the campus.

“The construction that is located in the back is the response to an institutional objective,” added Bourdon, emphasizing that this expansion will allow more children in the community to be served.
