On behalf of Banco BHD and on behalf of the financial sector and the Dominican banks that support tourism, I thank Minister David Collado for making us part of this milestone in the evolution of Dominican tourism, and I congratulate him and his team on this important development of destination brands that today we will have the pleasure of knowing: Miches, Samaná, Santiago, Costa del Ámbar and Punta Cana.

All organizations that present themselves as brands recognize their relevance for positioning. In tourism, a brand is a decisive element for the positioning of destinations.

The destination brand establishes a differentiation in the world market that highlights the identity attributes of a region, country or city, such as culture, history, biodiversity, the authenticity of people, art and the national value proposition, among others. . For example, at BHD we have a credit card for our clients that has 31 designs, representing each of our provinces.

Destination brands attract tourists, which in the end is what we want, and, consequently, promote investments.

For all entities that develop financial proposals for the tourism sector, these destination brands that the Ministry presents today will allow us to enhance tourism in our country, expanding it to new poles that will offer unique experiences for our visitors.

Once again, I congratulate Minister Collado for this initiative that benefits all participants in the economic ecosystem of Dominican tourism.
