El boom turístico que vive la República Dominicanaconlleva consigo una mayor demanda de infraestructuras viales y hoteleras, según ha considerado el pionero del desarrollo del turismo en Punta Cana, Frank Rainieri.

Frank RainieriRainieri indicó a .com que el boulevard turístico del Este amerita ser ampliando para atender el gran flujo de visitantes que se desplaza por la importante infraestructura vial.

“Ya aquí en Punta Cana el boulvard turístico queda pequeño, ya hay que ampliarlo y llevarlo a 4 carriles hasta Uvero Alto”, puntualizó Rainieri.

Y es que la infraestructura vial es importante no solo para la zona Este, sino también para el país, pues el crecimiento en la llegada de turistas y la nueva meta de atraer 12 millones de visitantes hace que el Gobierno central se enfoque en mejorar las vías de acceso a los polos turísticos.

En ese sentido, el líder turístico dijo que para lograr las metas propuestas en el 2025 se deben realizar varias acciones que complementen el atractivo del país para mantener el interés de los visitantes.

Explicó que ello sería el mejoramiento de los puertos, la diversificación y crecimiento de la planta hotelera, promoción del destino e inversión en infraestructura para ampliar carreteras.

“La meta, además de los visitantes, es para que todo el país se pueda beneficiar del turismo que se está convirtiendo en la industria nacional. Ese turismo en el que nadie creía y nadie confiaba, pues recuerdo que en el primer picazo del aeropuerto nadie vino, creían que estábamos locos y el primer año de operaciones, apenas, llegaron 2,600 turistas y ahora recibimos más de 5 millones de turistas”, agregó.
