Samsung has made a quantum leap in the fight against marine pollution by incorporating recycled ocean plastic into the manufacturing of a wide range of products, from phone cases to packaging. Through an advanced recycling process, the company transforms recovered plastic bottles and fishing nets into high-quality materials, thereby reducing the amount of plastic waste in our seas and contributing to the conservation of marine life.
In addition to using recycled plastic in its products, Samsung has developed innovative technologies such as the washing machine filter that captures plastic microfibres before they reach the oceans. This simple but effective solution helps to significantly reduce microplastic pollution, one of the biggest threats to marine life.
