Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Observatory of Digital Media successfully held the 7th edition of the National Digital Journalism Award 2024, which was attended by a large number of journalists, communicators and owners of digital media from all over the country.
Among the winners, the portal Touring with Salvador was recognized as the best digital medium for tourism issues in 2024. This is the third consecutive year that the portal receives this award, highlighting its constant effort in providing news, reports and information about the world of tourism both nationally and internationally.
“Recorriendo con Salvador” is a leading digital platform dedicated to providing comprehensive coverage of the Dominican Republic's vibrant tourism sector. Focusing on delivering high-quality content, the portal has become a go-to resource for travelers, professionals and locals alike.
During the award ceremony, the director of the portal, journalist Salvador Batista, thanked the recognition and summarized more than a decade of the portal's mission to provide information about the tourism sector.
The event was held in the Aida Bonnelly Room of the National Theater, with the support of Banco Popular and the Punta Cana-Macao Energy Consortium. It also has the support of Grabo Estilo and Aden Business School, with the veteran journalist Jose Rafael Sosa serving as president of the jury.
The president of the Observatory, Cristal Acevedo, in her opening speech, congratulated digital media owners, communicators and journalists who have worked diligently over the last year to improve the content they produce for the web.
As for the Grand National Prize for Digital Journalism, this year it went to journalist José Peguero, founder of enproductos.net, who has dedicated himself to his craft with a lot of work and determination.
By consistently recognizing excellence in digital journalism, the National Digital Journalism Award plays a vital role in promoting the growth and development of the Dominican digital media landscape.
