The jury will be composed of: Elizabet Gutiérrez, Fahd Jacobo and Mario Lara, from the Board of Directors; José de León, representing the Ethics and Disciplinary Committee; and the representatives of the SODOMEDI branches: Fernando Placeres, from La Altagracia (Punta Cana); José Ventura, from New York; and Bienvenido Félix, from San Juan de la Maguana. Likewise, the former president of the Ethics and Disciplinary Commission, Félix Vinicio Lora, will join the panel of judges.

As external jurors, the following will also participate: Miguel Otáñez, president of the Center for Analysis and Study of Communication (CAESCO); José Peguero, director of the newspaper En Segundos.do; Luis Felipe Aquino, former director of the Tourism program at APEC University and president of the Caribbean Tourist Exchange (BTC); José Delio Ares Guzmán, leader of the Social Media review commission of INFOTEP and creator of the computing centers of the Pedro Henríquez Ureña National University and the National Housing Bank; and Jorge Bueno, Dominican creative, marketing strategist at Agencia Negrita.

The View Awards Sodomedi (VAS), whose objective is to recognize good practices in digital communication, will award awards in the National, International, International Allied Guild, Creativity, Popular, Institutional categories, which have 25 categories. In addition, career recognition and the Special SODOMEDI are included, aimed at communicators, media outlets, private companies or government institutions that have made significant contributions to digital communication.

Sodomedi premios VAS 1“In addition to applicants from digital platforms, written news pages, digital radio, podcasts, YouTube channels and digital versions of printed newspapers and television news programs in the Dominican Republic, applications have been registered from Panama, the United States, Colombia, Canada, Chile, Mexico, Spain, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Honduras, Mexico, Peru and Russia, reaching a total of 232 entries that were nominated on the digital platform,” said Omar Rivera, creator of the award and International Director of SODOMEDI. .

Article X of the regulations establishes that the jury will choose up to five nominees for each category, who will be announced in the coming days. The winners will be revealed at the ceremony on November 18 in the Manuel Rueda Room, where the statuette will be presented to the winners.

The View Awards are organized by the Dominican Society of Digital Media (SODOMEDI), with members in different provinces of the Dominican Republic and sections in New York, La Altagracia (Punta Cana) and San Juan de la Maguana. The event is officially sponsored by Farmacias GBC and Grabo Estilo, and in collaboration with Caribbean Web, Hostuis and OR Creative.
