Monterrey.- Long live the Aerobus announced its preliminary traffic results for August 2024. This month, passenger traffic increased by 5.8% compared to August 2023, reaching 2.5 million passengers, driven by a 5.7% and 6.1% increase in domestic and international traffic, respectively. The load factor reached 89.2% compared to 88.6% in 2023, driven by a load factor of 90.5% and 82.6% in the domestic and international markets, respectively.

Viva increased its total capacity in available seat miles (ASMs) by 6.2% compared to August 2023. In terms of market breakdown, Viva grew its capacity by 4.9% in the domestic market and by 12.3% in the international market.

“We ended the summer season with solid passenger demand and a healthy load factor, driven by a robust market where demand outpaced capacity growth. As we enter a slower seasonal period in September, we remain highly focused on disciplined capacity deployment. We are also closely monitoring our fleet, given the continued grounding of aircraft due to the Pratt & Whitney engine recall crisis, and are taking steps to minimize the impact on our operations,” said Juan Carlos Zuazua, CEO of Viva Aerobus.
