RIU Hotels & Resorts reported that the RIU Palace Macao reopened to the public after several months of comprehensive renovation. The hotel, which became the first of the Riu Palace range in America in 1994, is the second time it has been remodeled, having previously done so in 2012.
Guests will now enjoy attractive interior design, new gastronomic offerings, and new proposals, among which Elite Club by RIU stands out, an exclusive service that has advantages and spaces designed for those guests who want to go one step further in their experience at RIU Hotels.
The common areas now have a decoration that combines the sophistication of the RIU Palace line with the new style that the chain is introducing in its renovations and new hotels: more open and bright spaces, natural and soft colors, noble materials, and prominence of the tropical vegetation both in decorative elements and in interior gardens. A great example of this is the lobby and reception, those first spaces that welcome RIU guests with the new and elegant style.
Among the new features is the expansion of the lounge bar, to which a second outdoor stage has been added for smaller shows and a DJ booth, as well as a new Riu Fit area.
In terms of gastronomy, the hotel continues to offer a wide variety of restaurants and options to guests. The international food buffet is accompanied by an Italian restaurant, ‘Volare’; a Steakhouse-style restaurant; one that offers Asian dishes, ‘Kabuki’; and a fusion food restaurant, ‘Krystal’. All of them have been renovated, each one with a differentiating character and style that completes each gastronomic experience.
In addition, with the renovation, the Riu Palace Macao adds a new Sports Bar that will offer food and drinks 24 hours a day and a grill food area, ‘Pepe’s Food’, with a Burger Bar with top-quality ingredients, in the area of swimming pools, which will continue to offer three different bathing spaces, one of them with a swim-up bar.
The rooms, a total of 476, have also been completely renovated. The new furniture has straight and simple lines, while the color selection has chosen the natural color of the wood, beige and green tones. The style is cozy and elegant, and as an ornamental element, plant motifs have been chosen both on the main wall and on the glass window that separates the bathroom from the bedroom.
One of the great novelties is the implementation of swim-up rooms, which have a private pool area and are exclusive for clients of the Elite Club by RIU service, according to a statement.
Precisely, the Elite Club service allows guests of the Riu Palace Macao to enjoy advantages never before seen in the destination. In addition to the 34 rooms with private pool, there are another 22 rooms for clients of this service.
The Elite Club offers its clients a lounge area with a bar reserved for them, an exclusive restaurant that offers à la carte dinner, an à la carte breakfast in the Italian restaurant, which is adapted for this in the mornings, and an exclusive beach area, which has its own bar service with Premium drinks for Elite clients.
It is remembered that the Riu Palace Macao is located in the RIU Complex in Punta Cana and shares with the four hotels of the chain the Splash Water Park, the Riu Party, the Casino, which has also been renovated, and the Caribbean street with its picturesque Pachá shops and nightclub.
In addition, now, all guests of the RIU hotels in Punta Cana will be able to use the chain’s largest Wellness center to date since, taking advantage of the remodeling of the Riu Palace Macao, RIU has built a new space dedicated to well-being, beauty, and fitness of its guests.
The new center has a large gym with all the necessary equipment so that the guest can carry out a complete training session, a beauty and hairdressing salon, and a Spa with two water areas, steam baths and up to nine massage cabins. To manage this new space, RIU has trusted Renova Spa, its trusted partner specialized in wellness and beauty services.
