Southwest Airlines Announces New Nonstop Flights from Kansas City to Punta Cana

Punta Cana. – Southwest Airlines has announced the launch of nonstop service between Kansas City International Airport and Punta Cana International Airport, beginning March 7, 2026. The route will offer Midwestern travelers direct access to one of the Dominican Republic’s most sought-after vacation destinations.

According to Melissa Cooper, director of the Kansas City Department of Aviation, nearly 20,000 passengers are projected to travel between the two cities on various routes throughout 2024. She highlighted that the introduction of a nonstop connection will enhance convenience for travelers, allowing them to maximize their time in Punta Cana.
