Introducing the Culinary Weekend: A Taste of International Gastronomy at Puntacana Resort

With the motto “A party for the palate”, Puntacana Resort presents the first edition of the Culinary Weekend, to be held from March 7 to 10, with the participation of five renowned chefs from Latin America in a unique culinary meeting.

International chefs Mitsuhara Tsuruma, Marsia Taha, Benjamin Nast, Álvaro Clavijo and Janaina Torres will present exquisite dishes selected to create an unforgettable dining experience.

The gastronomic event will open with a cocktail on Thursday, March 7, introducing the chefs of the weekend, with appetizers prepared by the Bolivian Marsia Taha, recognized in 2021 with the award for the Newest Female Chef of Latin America, according to the list The World's 50 Best Restaurants; and the Chilean chef, Benjamin Nast, classified in Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants.

On Friday, March 8, the experience will be led by chef Mitsuhara Tsuruma, a specialist in Nikkei gastronomy, which arises from the mix between Japanese and Peruvian cuisine. Currently, Tsuruma is the owner of the Peruvian restaurant MAIDO, ranking 1 as the best restaurant in Peru according to the SUMMUM Guide, position 3 on the list of Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants and position 11 on the list of The World's 50 Best Restaurants.

On Saturday, March 9, the gastronomic experience will be led by the talented chef Janaina Rueda, ranked #4 in the “50 Best” Restaurants in Latin America, accompanied by the mastery of Marsia Taha

The event concludes on Sunday, March 10, with the culinary creativity of chef Alvaro Clavijo, ranked #2 in the “50 Best” Restaurants in Latin America, and once again enjoying the distinction of Benjamin Nast.
