Puerto Plata – Arajet, the low-cost airline, reported that they will carry out a private flight from the Gregorio Luperón International Airport in Puerto Plata to the El Dorado Airport in Bogotá. This is part of the actions to promote connectivity within the framework of the Anato 2024 tourism program.
Víctor Pacheco Méndez, CEO & Founder of Arajet, indicated that the airline will connect for the first time the city of Puerto Plata with Bogotá in Colombia. A delegation led by officials from the Ministry of Tourism will travel along with the main businessmen and actors from the Dominican tourism sector. This delegation will include the president of the Hotel and Tourism Association of the Dominican Republic (ASONAHORES), David Llibre.
“Arajet has the firm commitment to be part of the growth of visitor arrivals to the Dominican Republic. We will be supporting all necessary initiatives to improve the country’s air connectivity and boost tourism in the northern part of the country,” said Pacheco Mendez.
The flight will depart on Tuesday, February 27 at 7:00 a.m. from Santo Domingo with a 45-minute stopover in Puerto Plata. It will then arrive in Bogotá at 10:25 a.m. The return flight is scheduled for Friday, March 1 at 4:45 p.m., arriving in Santo Domingo at 8:25 p.m.
