In a night to the rhythm of rock’n roll and American-style dances, the Destination City Cap Cana closed the traditional Cap Cana Golf Cup tournament held every year to benefit the Forjando un Futuro foundation and in commemoration of the anniversary of Punta Espada Golf Course.

“It’s a Road Trip” was what the event was called on this occasion, which is held annually to represent the culture of a country, this time in the American style, as a thank you to the community of owners, residents and business allies of the destination.

The event was framed in the celebration of the 10 years of the Forjando un Futuro foundation and the 17th anniversary of the Punta Espada golf course, in which 200 national and international players took to the field by shotgun and had the presence of several personalities among which stand out Mrs. Sonia Guzmán, ambassador of the Dominican Republic in the United States, the prominent golf player Vicente Fernández (El Chino), an Argentine golfer who has won more than 60 professional tournaments around the world since 1964 and Juan José Guerra , who is a Dominican golfer who plays on the Latin American PGA Tour.

In the tournament held under the scramble modality in pairs, Messrs. Luis Matos and Radhamés Peña were the winners of the best raw score with 61 suits.

Accompanied by very sunny weather, the players enjoyed the excellent conditions of the Punta Espada golf course outdoors, making it possible with their participation and donations to contribute to the charitable cause.
