The XVII version of the Great Real Estate Hall recently held in Colombia, was a sample of the great development that the Dominican Republic is experiencing at the present time and that places it as a nation with great alternatives to attract capital interested in real estate investment.

Forty-two companies represented the country that on this occasion served as a guest, at the meeting held from August 10 to 13 in Bogotá Colombia, and which managed to get more than 400 Creoles to travel to the South American country to present their multiple proposals. in the field of real estate.

“The fair was a success, we set a record for exhibitor attendance, forcing the organizers to open a second international pavilion for the first time in the history of the Great Real Estate Hall. The final results will be seen in the coming months but all the exhibitors received refined clients, quality leads that will be working in the coming weeks and hundreds of closings were reported during the 3 days,” said Alberto Bogaert, president of the Association of Real Estate Agents. (AEI).

One piece of information that he contributes “is that not only vacation and investment property investors were recruited, but also dozens of real estate developers with whom we held meetings and presented the advantages of bringing their capital to our country,” he adds.

In addition – he points out – thanks to Noval we had a spectacular closing with an orchestra where hundreds of investor clients enjoyed to the rhythm of merengue. “The Great Real Estate Hall was a resounding success for both Colombians and Dominicans.”

According to the data provided by the organizers, a total of 158 firms attended the exhibition: 95 from the host country, 42 from the Dominican Republic, ten from the United States, nine from Panama, one from the United Arab Emirates and one from Mexico. 20,308 visitors were counted during the days of the event.

The Dominican delegations, which totaled more than 400 people, brought with them the best proposals to the South American country within their real estate billboard, to attract Colombian investors, who showed their interest in the Dominican offers.

“It has been an excellent experience. The Colombian market has welcomed us with open arms, thank God we have done many business closings and the best thing is that they are very motivated with all the real estate offers we have in the Dominican Republic”, declared Erick Núñez, from TuCasaRD.

Firms like Cap Cana brought with them extensive exhibitions. At their stand they showed the Paseo del Farallón, Core, Green Moon, Icon Bay, Sea View, Dezenove, Vermare, Waterfalls, 7 Mares, Cana Alta, Vita del Mare, Serenissima and Navío projects, as well as a large availability of land for the project development.

Jorge Subero Medina, executive director of Cap Cana, explained that there are advantages between the Dominican Republic and Colombia, noting that the flights are around two hours, depending on the city, which has motivated a diversification of tourism in real estate.

“Let’s remember that tourism is not only sun and beach, but also other places and attractions. Here, many of the projects for golf courses, stables and other investment alternatives that the Dominican Republic offers are being sold,” she stated.

For Belkis Cuello, organizer of the meeting and international representative of the AEI, the experience was wonderful from day one when she embarked on the project of taking the country to the Great Real Estate Hall and seeing that expectations were exceeded.

“Definitely selling the country as a real estate destination of the moment, not just to spend a moment, but to offer all the benefits that we offer and that we are a true investment proposal, has been of great joy and satisfaction.”

He highlighted the support of the representatives of the Dominican Government and said that without a doubt the Dominican Republic positioned itself in Colombia as the best investment destination in the Caribbean.
