The Dominican Republic’s Reserve Bank to Attend World Travel Market 2023 in London

This annual event brings together senior executives from hotel groups, providing an opportunity to expand their network of contacts with clients and close significant agreements. Banreservas has been a constant participant in this activity since 2015.

The official opening ceremony of the Dominican Republic stand was attended by the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, and prominent businessmen such as Luis Emilio Amiama, from Central Romana Corp. and the main executives of Dominican banking.

In the field of tourism, the Dominican Republic received some 131,124 visitors from England until last October, reflecting its growing importance as a European tourist destination. The number of visitors in 2022 totaled 188,063 travelers. The country is positioned as one of the favorite tourist destinations in the Caribbean, both for English people and tourists from other destinations in Europe.

The British consider the Dominican Republic an attractive destination in the Caribbean, highlighting its natural and cultural charms and renowned golf courses. In addition, the availability of direct flights from London to Punta Cana through airlines such as TUI and British Airways has contributed to the increase in tourists from England in recent years.
