The Eucharist Celebrated by The Sovereign Order of Malta in Honor of Saint John the Baptist Day

In Punta Cana, the Embassy of the Order of Malta marked the Day of St. John the Baptist with a special Eucharist. It was led by Monsignor Piergiorgio Bertoldi and Father José Pastor Ramírez Fernández. Ambassador Frank R. Rainieri and his wife Mrs. Haydée Rainieri hosted the event.

The Sovereign Order of Malta serves over 120 countries. They offer social, medical, and humanitarian aid to vulnerable communities, including refugees. They work in conjunction with Malteser International, its global aid wing.

The Order operates as a Sovereign State for nearly 10 centuries. The Grand Master oversees its state affairs and government functions.

In the Dominican Republic, it aids over 300 Public Health Centers. They distribute donations of food, medical supplies, and equipment. This highlights their commitment to aid the needy and uphold their faith.

After the Eucharist, Ambassador Rainieri and his wife invited guests for a toast. Ladies and Knights of the Order were present at Regina Angelorum Church, which is under their watch.
