The Goal of Attracting 10 Million Tourists in the Dominican Republic is Within Reach

The goal that began with the last government administration could become a reality 10 years later.
The Ministry of Tourism already predicts that the Dominican Republic is approaching the goal of
10 million tourists.

This Wednesday, the president
Luis Abinader and the Minister of Tourism, David Collado
They presented that the account goes
8,245,189 tourists between the period January to October of this 2023.

Between November and December the figure usually rises due to the number of people who travel at the end of the year.
In 2022, during those months the arrival was 1,337,264 tourists.

By October 2023, 619,214 foreigners arrived in the country, above the 579,965 in the same month of 2023.

Launches “10 million smiles” campaign

In that sense, Abinader and Collado launched the “10 million smiles” campaign, in order to meet the goal of 10 million vacationers for the Dominican Republic.

The campaign will feature promotional videos of
Milly Quezada, Fernando Villalona, ​​Pavel Núñez, Rafa Rosario, Jandy Ventura and Eddy Herrera.

Regarding the goal, Abinader expressed: “At the same time that we are going to celebrate these 10 million, on December 18 the Cabo Rojo Tourist Dock opens, where, finally, that destination is beginning to be dreamed of by the large tour operators, it is beginning to sound in the international tourism world.”

Rainieri’s Haydée Kuret recognized
