The ninth edition of the Consular Golf Cup achieves resounding success.

In the traditional annual golf event, the winners of category A were: José A. Grullón and César González with 65 clubs net; In second place the winners were Carlos Báez, and Marlon Bonelly, with 67 net suits.

The award ceremony was headed by Dean Fernando González Nicolás, Honorary Consul of Malaysia in the country and the Vice Chancellor in Charge of Consular Affairs, Opinion Diazwho presented trophies to the winners of category A.

Cape Cana. – The Consular Corps accredited in the Dominican Republic (CCARD) successfully celebrated “the ninth Consular Golf Cup”, at Punta Espada Golf Club Cap Cana, dedicated to the Deans of the Consular Corps since the creation of the entity in 1952, with mention Special thanks to the former dean, Don Antonio Alma Yamín, for his contribution to the creation and enhancement of this Consular Golf Cup.

González Nicolás then proceeded to present a plaque of recognition for his contribution to the creation and development of this sporting event to Mr. Antonio Alma, which was received by his sons, Antonio Alma, César Alma and his grandson Antonio César Alma Turull.

He greeted the presence of the Vice Dean of the Consular Corps, Ricardo Koenig; the Secretary, Norman De Castro; the Treasurer, Maríajosé Turull de Roig, and the Consul of Barbado and President of the Golf Committee, Emilio Hasbún, among other directors and consuls.

Finally, he thanked all the players and sponsors for their generosity, which allowed this Ninth Consular Golf Cup to be held.

For his part, Alexis Santana, Punta Espada Golf Director, explained the rules and technical modalities in which this sporting event was played.
