Leading national and international experts have already confirmed their participation in the next THEMAG Punta Cana 2023 Business Forum, to be held at Meliá Caribe Beach on September 5, who in two different panels will contribute their experience and knowledge to address the different challenges that the industry and the country is currently facing in terms of technology, artificial intelligence and sustainability, generating unique perspectives and a brainstorm of innovative ideas to contribute to the future of tourism in our country and the region.

Sustainability and its challenges

In the “Sustainability” panel, which will address the “Challenges and opportunities of Sustainable Development in the DR. A commitment from all”, will have the special participation of the most prominent experts such as Andrés Bisonó from SOS Carbón, who will deal with the topic of Sargasso and how, faced with this problem, we can transform it into something usable. New Technologies and Artificial Intelligence

Regarding the New Technologies and Artificial Intelligence panel, we will delve into: “Challenges of the Tourism industry in the face of technological changes: The new rules of the game are already here. You are ready?”. With the participation of authorities in the field such as Vladimir Pimentel, Deputy General Director of ProDominicana, who will talk to us about the technological tools that the entity is using to identify, attract and measure foreign investments for the country.

This panel will also have the special participation of Melissa Muñoz, Director of Innovation of the Government Office of Information and Communication Technologies (OGTIC) of the Dominican Republic and current coordinator of the Innovation Cabinet, addressing the implementation of the National Innovation Policy 2030.

For his part, José David Montilla, Vice Minister of the Ministry of the Presidency, will speak about the challenges of implementing the 2030 Digital Agenda, which the government is carrying out.
