Punta CanaTortuga Bay Puntacana has once again secured the prestigious AAA Five Diamond Award, reaffirming its position as a premier luxury hotel in the Dominican Republic. The accolade reflects the hotel’s consistent commitment to excellence in hospitality and service. In addition, the hotel’s Bamboo Restaurant has elevated its distinction to a Four Diamond rating, recognized for its outstanding culinary quality and refined ambiance.

The American Automobile Association (AAA) conducts rigorous, unannounced inspections to evaluate thousands of hotels and restaurants across North America. Properties are assessed based on criteria including exterior appearance, public areas, guest rooms, bathrooms, cleanliness, and overall maintenance. Only those that meet AAA’s high standards receive a Diamond designation.

AAA’s inspection program, in place for more than 80 years, covers 26,000 hotels and 27,000 restaurants annually. The Diamond ratings serve as a trusted guide for AAA’s over 62 million members, 31% of whom rely on these designations when booking accommodations in North America.

“It’s a great honor to recommend Tortuga Bay to our 65 million members with our highest distinction,” said John Lubanski, AAA Regional Manager, while presenting the inspection report.

The AAA Diamond Awards also reflect the overall guest experience, weighing multiple factors such as food quality, service, and atmosphere—especially for luxury hotel restaurants like Bamboo.
