Punta Cana, RD.- The capital of the Dominican Republic, Santo Domingo, will add two new hotels from the renowned international Marriott chain this year, 2023, which will rise in the LATITUD 18 Santo Domingo business center.
The opening is expected to be in a few months since the project led by the businessman of Mexican origin and CEO of the RCD Hotels Group, Roberto Chapur, is currently in the completion phase.
The LATITUD 18 Santo Domingo complex, strategically located on Abraham Lincoln Avenue on the corner of Andrés Julio Aybar (central industrial estate), includes two 20-story towers with a construction area of 52,770m² and will house the two hotels that will operate under the renowned Marriott brands.
The Marriott Santo Domingo Piantini Hotel will have 208 rooms and the innovative Aloft Santo Domingo Piantini will have 192 rooms. The buildings will have four levels of underground parking, a cafe, a modern gym, three restaurants with terraces and commercial premises of recognized national and international brands.
This commercial and hotel complex involves an initial investment of about US$ 120 million and will offer the largest convention halls in Santo Domingo, with 2,000 m2 designated for this segment, according to the developers.
Marriott adds 7 hotels in Santo Domingo
With these two new hotels, Marriott Santo Domingo Piantini and Alof Santo Domingo Piantini, Marriott adds 7 properties in the Dominican capital under its umbrella of brands, including the Sheraton Hotel Santo Domingo and the Renaissance Santo Domingo Jaragua Hotel & Casino, on the boardwalk of the city. In addition, the recently remodeled Courtyard Santo Domingo on Av. Máximo Gómez; Courtyard Santo Domingo Piantini, at Freddy Prestol Castillo, esq. Porfirio Herrera, in Ensanche Piantini and the JW Marriott Hotel Santo Domingo, on Winston Churchill Avenue.
