Verón–Punta Cana is moving forward with a new phase in the expansion of its stormwater drainage network, adding more catch basins and filtration structures at key points throughout the tourist district.

The ongoing works are focused on improving how rainwater is collected and channeled, with the goal of reducing flooding, minimizing water buildup in streets and neighborhoods, and protecting local communities during periods of heavy rainfall.

Technical crews from the Municipal District of Verón–Punta Cana are permanently on-site, monitoring each stage of the construction process to ensure that the infrastructure is built to standard and that the upgraded drainage system will operate more efficiently.

This intervention is part of a broader plan to strengthen local infrastructure, protect vulnerable areas, and improve mobility in sectors that are frequently affected by rain and runoff.
